How to find us

Directions by car:

Via Autobahn A5 (Karlsruhe–Basel):

  1. Take the Freiburg-Nord exit, heading toward Waldkirch on the B294.
  2. Exit at Simonswald and continue on this road.
  3. Around 3 km after entering Simonswald, turn left between Hotels Krone-Post and Hirschen.
  4. Follow signs for “Steinweidenhof”, leading through Haslach-Simonswald for approximately 3 km.

Via Autobahn A81 (Stuttgart–Bodensee):

  1. Take Exit 35 Villingen-Schwenningen, then head onto B27 toward Villingen-Schwenningen.
  2. Continue by turning onto the B33 toward Villingen-Süd.
  3. From there, take the B500 toward Furtwangen, then turn onto the L173 toward Simonswald.
  4. In Simonswald, turn right between Hotels Krone-Post and Hirschen and follow signs for “Steinweidenhof” for 3 km.

Directions by Public Transportation:

Take the train to Freiburg Central Station (Hbf), then the S-Bahn (S2 direction Elzach) to Bleibach. From Bleibach, a taxi ride will take you to our venue (Fahrdienst Stocker, tel. +49 7681 5456).

Directions by Airplane:

For travelers coming from farther abroad, the best airports to arrive at are:

  • Frankfurt Airport (FRA): A major international hub with the most flight options. It is located approximately 2.5-3 hours from our retreat center by car or train.
  • Zurich Airport (ZRH): Another excellent choice with convenient connections, about 2.5 hours away by car or train.
  • EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL): The closest option, roughly 1 hour by car. However, it may have fewer direct flight options.

You can take public transportation from one of the listed airports to Freiburg im Breisgau. From there, take the S-Bahn line S2 (direction Elzach) and ride to Bleibach. From Bleibach, a short taxi ride will bring you to our house (Fahrdienst Stocker, Tel. 07681 5456).

Alternatively, you can rent a car at Freiburg’s main train station for the final leg of your journey.

If you prefer to be mobile right from the airport, you can rent a car or minibus directly there. Well-known car rental companies are available at all three airports.
